welcome

I’m a pay TV aficionado and have subscribed to both Dish Network, DirecTV and cable TV at one time or another Amid all the rants and raves you see on the Internet about how bad satellite TV and cable TV are, I personally think they are the best thing since sliced bread. They’re much better than over-the-air analog TV, you can record all your favorite shows, get thousands of streaming videos, and it provides endless entertainment for less than a dollar a day. What could be better. Click here for cable TV reviews.

Which Cable TV

Provider Should You

Choose?

AT&T U-Verse

AT&T U-Verse is one of the most celebrated cable TV networks of the country, and most of its credibility is due to its stunning picture quality and amazing deals. It is a network that lets you build your very own bundle. Plus, you can enjoy free movies, HD shows and premium programs using the On Demand feature. AT&T U-Verse is known widely for its incredibly reasonable package costs, too. In case you require internet service, or phone service, along with TV service, you can save a great deal by trusting the network. Also, since AT&T U-Verse, at its core, is a cable provider that uses fiber optic, you can rest assured that you will get crisp and clear picture quality every minute. The only downside of the network is that, currently, it is available in only 21 states.

Comcast

Comcast XFINITY is one of the few cable providers in the country that take variety seriously. That is evident from the fact that the provider provides a very fun mix of different channels and packages. Comcast can be found in 40 different states of the nation, and that is perhaps the biggest pro about the provider. Starting with a very basic plan that gives you only 10 channels, Comcast provides 5 different packages. Its highest package lets you enjoy more than 200 TV channels. While it is a good idea to go for the highest Comcast package, what is interesting is that the best value packages of the network happen to be its mid-level plans. Note, also, that Comcast’s On Demand, Internet Viewing, and Mobile Viewing features make it worth trusting. Other than that, the provider makes TV viewing very fun by letting you choose from among a range of different DVRs. One important detail about Comcast is that you get to enjoy its packages for a cheaper cost during the first year of service. After that, your expenses rise a little bit.

Time Warner

The reason Time Warner ranks as one of the best cable providers across the country is because it provides packages that are very reasonably priced. From the cheapest package to the costliest one, Time Warner makes sure to keep its offerings comprehensive. Its competitive pricing strategy can be said to be the biggest advantage of the network. That said, the network proves to be quite satisfactory when it comes to features and channels provided, too. The only problem with the network is that it extracts a monthly rental for DVR use from its users. However, for the extra cost, you get to enjoy certain very unique features. ‘Start Over and Look Back’, a feature offered by the network, enables you to restart a TV show from the middle. The same feature gives you the opportunity to enjoy a program even after many hours of its original airing, as long as you attempt to re-watch the same within 3 days of its first broadcast time. Time Warner even has a mobile app, which supports live movie watching and live streaming. All in all, Time Warner is a good option for you if you want a relatively cheap cable network that provides a lot of features.
