Dan Bats is a company based in South Carolina that creates custom wooden baseball bats. To take their business to the next level, they wanted to provide an online builder for their customers. Think of it as Nike's shoe customizer, but for a baseball bat.
Using Adobe Photoshop, I created and provided 70 images that could be mixed and matched for ultimate personalization. The digital bat was created from scratch using a wood texture (source link) and a cutout image (source link). I then added shadowing to give dimension and started creating the various skins. The skins included solid paint, stained paint, and flame treatment as customizable options. I even took their company logo and applied it to the bat to show their engravement option. All images were then implemented into a Shopify application called Kickflip.
