welcome

I’m a pay TV aficionado and have subscribed to both Dish Network, DirecTV and cable TV at one time or another Amid all the rants and raves you see on the Internet about how bad satellite TV and cable TV are, I personally think they are the best thing since sliced bread. They’re much better than over-the-air analog TV, you can record all your favorite shows, get thousands of streaming videos, and it provides endless entertainment for less than a dollar a day. What could be better. Click here for DirecTV reviews.

Satellite TV offers much more than cable and if you are looking for a large bouquet of entertaining channels to choose from, then choose Direct TV because you will get exactly what you want and much more.

Why should you settle for

DIRECTV?

DIRECTV boasts of an impressive selection of other sports programming which include Fox Sports, the ESPN networks, FUELTV and other specialized sports packages like NBA LEAGUE PASS, ESPN GamePlan, NHL CENTER and so on. Sports fans can never be disappointed with DIRECTV.

Impressive DVR selection

With DIRECTV, you can chose from a variety of high quality receivers. With the Genie™-DIRECTV’s most advanced receiver, you can record as much as five shows at a go, and watch recorded shows on a connected TV in your home. The Genie™’s 1TB hard drive affords enough memory to record your favorite shows, without having to delete your old content to create space. You can enjoy access to an HD DVR and a TiVo with DIRECTV, which are both impressive and worth keeping in mind.

Available in all states

Satellite TV is not limited by physical networks like cable TV providers are. DIRECTV is available in all 50 states of America, and everyone with a clear view of the southern sky can enjoy it. You’ll enjoy it more if you live in an outskirt or in a rural area with no access to standard cable service. Just like some of the benefits it presents, there are also issues you may encounter with DIRECTV

Impacted by harsh weather

This is where most cable TV customers fare better than satellite TV customers. Harsh weather conditions disrupt satellite TV reception more often than not. Areas that experience strong winds, snow storms and other severe weather conditions on a regular basis, usually loose reception for the period of the inclement weather but is soon restored once it is over.

Mandatory two-year contract

agreement

If you are a customer who likes to switch between providers or just want a service for the short-term, DIRECTV may not be good for you. Standard DIRECTV contracts require a two-year agreement. Customers who like to stick to one provider will be fine with this but if you plan to cancel your contract early, you may pay an extra fee. Take time to understand your contract before signing up.

Satellite dish must be installed

at residence

DIRECTV requires a satellite to function, so you’ll need to install one on your residence. If it’s your home you are installing it, get in touch with a DIRECTV technician to help you install in a less prominent part of your home. If you live in an apartment or in a rented home, please contact the landlord to decide the most acceptable place to install a satellite. It is important that before you get a satellite TV, you are aware of what you need to do.
